Legal notice

In force as of 28 August 2026

These legal notices govern the provision of the dxfcleaner.com website and the use of the tool it hosts. Using the site implies acceptance of them. They are a translation of the French version, which prevails in case of discrepancy.

1. Publisher

The dxfcleaner.com website is published and edited by:

2. Host

3. The service

dxfcleaner.com provides, free of charge, a tool that prepares a DXF file for cutting: curves converted into polylines, micro-segments, duplicates and vectorization residues removed, open contours closed.

The service requires no account, no sign-up and no payment. There is no paid version. Access requires a recent browser and an Internet connection, at the user's expense.

The publisher may modify, suspend or discontinue the service at any time, in particular for maintenance, without notice and without liability.

4. Your files never leave your computer

The processing runs entirely in your browser. The file you drop is never uploaded, transmitted or stored on any server — neither the publisher's nor a third party's. The corrected file is produced on your machine and saved by your browser.

Consequently, the publisher has no access to your drawings, keeps no copy and can restore none. Your files and the rights attached to them remain entirely yours.

5. Personal data and cookies

The site offers no account, no sign-up and no form. No personal data is requested, collected or recorded.

The site sets no cookie: no analytics cookie, no advertising cookie, no third-party cookie. No third-party script is loaded; the page makes no request to any other domain.

Only the aggregated traffic statistics of the host, Cloudflare (request volume, countries in aggregate form), are available, without individual identification.

Under French law no. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 and the General Data Protection Regulation, any question about data may be sent to contact@dxfcleaner.com.

6. Liability: check before you cut

The tool modifies the geometry of the drawing within the chosen tolerances: it assembles strokes into polylines, removes some of them and extends endpoints. An automatic check compares the produced file with the original, but it does not replace your own inspection.

It is the user's responsibility to check the corrected file before any cutting, and to make sure it matches the intended part. The publisher cannot be held liable for material damage, wasted material, manufacturing defects or accidents resulting from the use of a file produced by the tool.

Operating a plasma, laser or CNC cutting machine is the sole responsibility of its operator, including compliance with the applicable safety rules.

The tool is provided "as is", without warranty of being error-free or fit for any particular purpose.

7. Intellectual property

The DXF Cleaner name, the website and its code belong to the publisher and are protected by French intellectual property law. Any reproduction or use, in whole or in part, without prior written permission is prohibited.

The typeface used by the interface is Archivo, published under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.

Files dropped by the user and files produced by the tool remain the exclusive property of the user.

8. External links

The site may link to third-party websites, in particular from its advertising slot. The publisher has no control over their content and declines any responsibility for it.

9. Advertising

The site may display a single advertising slot, sold directly and served from dxfcleaner.com. No ad network, no third-party script and no tracker is used for this purpose.

10. Governing law

These notices are governed by French law. Failing an amicable settlement, the French courts shall have sole jurisdiction.
